Admission and Registration

Admission to Harvard Elementary School

Interested students may be admitted to grades kindergarten through grade 5 in two ways.

• Live in the Harvard Elementary School attendance zone that is determined by the Houston Independent School District. A search tool will determine your school assignment for elementary, middle and high school.


• Be accepted on an approved magnet school transfer during the transfer period. Applications for the 2012-2013 school year will be accepted between November 7, 2011 and January 6, 2012 for round one admission. The number of students accepted each year is based upon space availabilty at each grade level.

Admission for pre-kindergarten classes.

• Since pre-kindergarten is not required, admission is based on space availability.


• Admission priority is given to students that live in the Harvard Elementary School attendance zone and meet the criteria as an economically disadvantaged or bilingual student. A search tool will determine your school attendance zone for elementary, middle and high school.


• Admission as a tuition pre-kindergarten student is based upon space availability. Wait List Applications for the 2012-2013 school year will be accepted through August 20, 2012.


• Magnet school transfers are not available for admission to the pre-kindergarten program.

Registration

Students that meet the admission requirements listed above may register.  All registrations are done by scheduling an appointment with Laura Rodriguez, Registrar, by calling 713-867-5210.

Registration appointments for the 2012-2013 school year will take place between April 16, 2012 - June 29, 2012.
