Academic Excellence Indicator System Reports (AEIS)
The AEIS reports pull together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. These reports are posted online in the fall.
Accountability Ratings
Texas annually rates its public schools and districts on the academic performance of their students.
Adequate Yearly Progress
Under the accountability provisions in the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act, all public school campuses, school districts, and the state are evaluated for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). The state plan for meeting federal AYP requirements and related information are available online.
Division of Accountability Research
The Division of Accountability Research publishes annual reports on secondary school completion and dropouts, grade-level retention, college entrance examinations (SAT and ACT), and Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate examinations, and a biennial report on enrollment trends. The division also publishes the Comprehensive Annual Report to the legislature on Texas public schools. In addition, the division is responsible for governance of data submissions to the Texas Education Agency. |
