Art is for Everyone
All grades explore the world of art through painting, drawing, collage, printing, and sculpture. Each class meets 50 minutes weekly. They explore different materials, while studying the basic core elements art in order to communicate effectively in the classroom. Children are introduced to classic artists, culture and history and have fun doing it!

Art Specialist / Artist
We want our kids to be life-long learners; giving them a range of ways to learn, early on, helps feed their curiosity. Art helps children to make connections, to practice patience, and to learn to trust themselves in the creative process. And it’s fun! After investing some time and energy in art class, a student produces something tangible, touchable. It’s an achievement that’s real in a different way than a grade on a test.

“Art is more than something nice we do with our children. It is an essential component in their development.”

Sums up the art teacher, Kenneth Robertson. He’s been teaching at Harvard 17 years, and finds purpose and joy in the work. “The kids are crazy. And I love that.”
