Harvard Elementary School, a magnet school for math, science and technology, is part of the Houston Independent School District located in the Historic Houston Heights in Houston, Texas and has served the community since 1898.
Excellent classroom teachers, together with content area specialists in math, science, technology, art, music and physical education, provide lessons that reinforce instruction at every grade level. A library collection of over 17,000 books and 30 periodicals allows our students access to up-to-date reading materials.
Harvard School has a wonderful learning atmosphere. Our teachers work hard to be sure that all students are learning grade level skills and being challenged with enrichment activities. All members of the learning community strive to follow the IB Learner Profile and become inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective.
Harvard educates students in grades pre-kindergarten through 5 that live in our neighborhood attendance zone or through a magnet transfer. Our enrollment is between 635 – 650 students.
Harvard is presently in the candidate phase of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP). |
