Student Council

Students Serving Students

The Harvard Student Council is composed of elected classroom representatives in grades 2-5. Students that expressed an interest within their classroom completed an application and presented a speech to their classmates. A classroom election was held and a representative was elected. At the first meeting, representatives met in grade level groups and collaborated as a team to determine which students would run for an elected office. Nominees campaigned by making speeches on the morning announcements, hanging up posters around the school and parading through the hallways before grades 1-5 placed their vote.

Throughout the year council members will participate in several community and global service projects.  These types of projects are considered part of the IB Action Cycle.
